SOAPS - Handmade soap is SOAP, not a synthetic detergent which cleanses by stripping your skin of it's natural oils. It's moisturizing because naturally occurring glycerin (a humectant which attracts moisture to the skin) is still present, unlike most store-bought soaps . ( Commercial manufacturers remove much of the glycerin to sell as a by-product). I use only naturally derived ingredients and preservatives. Because I handcut my soap there will be differences in each bar. Colors are achieved with dried herbs, botanicals, and micas and fragrance is added or supplemented with fragrance or essential oils. Allow your soap to dry between uses as water makes it dissolve more quickly.
